Hubs has been suffering from heartburn for months, maybe even a year. I’ve lost track. Prilosec did not help. Neither did Prevacid. The only relief he could find was by popping Pepcid Complete when he felt it coming on.
About 3 weeks ago, I began putting a bowl of mixed frozen fruit in his cooler that he takes to work.
Within two days, he told me to continue putting it in there because it made him feel more energetic. Two weeks after that, he said he thinks the fruit has helped his heart burn problem. He does not suffer from it nearly as much. The fruit addition is the only change to his diet and habits.
I don’t know if it really is the reason for his improved acid reflux or not, but “if it ain’t broken”…..
